Ask Game To Get To Know You
Tagged by @annebonnydyke
What book are you currently reading?
Born To Be Hanged, a book about the William Dampier/Lionel Wafer/Basil Ringrose piratical voyage in the late 1600s, and also The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System. I switch between them frequently depending on mood. They are both overdue at the library and my account has been suspended so I really need to focus on them and stop reading fic instead. Anyway.
What’s your favorite movie you saw in theatres this year?
Wakanda Forever, but I’ve only seen 2. (I am counting 2022 as “this year.”)
What do you usually wear?
Work pants. One pair that’s black for actual work, and one pair that’s bluejeans for non work. Hoodies. And a lot of tank top/flannel combos.
How tall are you?
5’11
What’s your Star Sign? Do you share a birthday with a celebrity or a historical event?
Nice try trying to get my birthday, phishers D:
Do you go by your name or a nick-name?
legal name. Though my parents keep Ames & Amers in rotation
Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child?
Yes! Though not the National Geographic part.
Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one?
Nope
What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at?
I am good at arguing. I am bad at walking away from an argument.
Dogs or cats?
Dog
What’s something you would like to create stuff for?
I’m currently on 3 of 4 (or possibly 6 depending on how I’m feeling) for wedding embroideries for my friends. (Each one takes me like six months. Sob.) And then fandom things. Also, silly little videos at the place I volunteer. Also, my job, and my other job. I need to be creating things in order to sit still.
If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favourite picture/favourite line/favourite etc. from something you created this year?
That’s apples to oranges so I don’t really know. Let’s call it the My Immortal binding, just for humor’s sake.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?
the new book press I picked up yesterday. And the continuing humiliation of United States Representative Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)
What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?
loaded question, will pass
What’s a hidden talent of yours?
idk. I’m not a very secretive person. People are always surprised that I have nice handwriting?
Are you religious?
No. I just enjoy talking and reading about it.
What’s something you wish to have at this moment?
the patience to do some work that needs to get done

u6 sayians are also smaller than there u7 counterparts. Being we see the sayian were huge compare to the tuffles even with out the great ape.
Tumblr media
5’11 vs 6 foot.
Tumblr media
And yea this scaling is really funky and I choose to believe it was a little less extreme. Tuffles being human levels of height while Saiyans can hit Z Broly base form.
Tumblr media
So the average Saiyan and Tuffle was more like this.
Tumblr media
But years of Tuffle genes has made U6 Saiyans built short.

Kawai GX2 vs Boston GP178 | Grand Piano Review & Comparison
youtube
In today’s article and video we’ve got two classic salon grand pianos that duke it out literally every single day in piano showrooms around the world - the Kawai GX2 vs Boston GP178, which are two of the most popular 6-foot professional quality pianos in the world (both measure just under 6 feet at 5’11”.)
We’ll be doing a grand piano comparison with regard to how they feel and sound as well as looking at the similarities and differences in terms of their designs. Odds are if you’re looking for a 6-foot grand piano with a budget of around $40,000, you’ll have both of these pianos on your shortlist. Let’s start with some background information.
Kawai GX2 vs Boston GP178: Brand History & Information
Let's start with what might be the worst-kept secret in the piano industry - both of these pianos are not just made by the same company, but they are actually assembled on the same production line in Hamamatsu Japan.
Boston as a line is of course owned by Steinway and sold through their dealer network. Steinway had some influence on the overall design of Boston pianos and there are a few components in common with New York Steinway's that wind up on the Boston's.
All of the assembly, construction and many of the materials actually come from Kawai, and as mentioned, Boston’s and Kawai’s are put together on the same production lines. While the marketing literature is pretty vague about this detail, anyone who has ever visited the Kawai factory can attest to this, as many of our staff at Merriam Music have over the years.
If you happen to be looking at either piano in a showroom, there’s a good chance dealers are going to steer the comparison towards the brands themselves rather than a technical comparison and breakdown, but we’re definitely going to cover that here.
Let’s move on to a conversation about how these pianos sound.
Tonal Comparison: Construction and Piano Sound
The GP178 has a larger soundboard than the Kawai GX2 as a result of Boston’s "wide tail design". This design increases the overall surface area of the soundboard, though this approach can sometimes be at the expense of the bass register which can lack a tight bass sound. Fortunately, the scale design has been done really well so we’re not hearing any issues with the bass register.
Overall the GP-178 has a nice open sound, but there’s not a lot of cabinet resonance or damper resonance going on. The GP178 generates a ton of fundamental tone, but there’s less nuance surrounding the tone compared to the GX2 which has less fundamental, but more cabinet resonance, likely primarily due to differences in cabinet materials and design.
This is somewhat ironic because the GX2 actually sounds more like a Steinway than the Boston does as Steinways are really known for their warmth.
This warmth we’re hearing is from the use of Maple - there's a ton of hard-rock Maple in a New York Steinway. When maple gets resonating, it has a distinct character and the Kawai GX2 also uses a high amount of Maple hardwood content in its Konsei Katagi rim, which is the part of the piano that contributes most to creating the cabinet resonance.
Back to the GP178, thanks to all of the direct soundboard tone, it's effortless to generate power, even if you’re not feeling as much cabinet activation. The sustain is very good, though it seems to go on a little bit longer on the GX2 due to the cabinet activation.
Both pianos have a very colorful sound, and a big part of this is the vertically-laminated bridges that both pianos possess. This feature trickled down from the handmade Shigeru Kawai series, which was mimicked from the Hamburg Steinway.
In terms of the bass sound, the GP178 has more of a bite on the attack of the note and more of a bell-like sound. The GX2 has a rounder, warmer bass tone.
To our ears, the GX2 is doing a better job on the ‘break’ or transition area where the string material changes - a notoriously problematic area for piano makers.
We’ll cover the action in more detail below, but a quick note on action now as it pertains to sound; the keybed feels slightly deeper on the GX2 which equates to a greater degree of lower dynamic control. The GP178 is so easy to get firing, which is satisfying in its own right, and some people will prefer that.
Moving to the top few treble octaves, the tonal differences really start to disappear. This makes sense as we see fewer design differences in this section of the pianos - both have duplex scaling for instance - and very similar string tensions.
That’s pretty much it when it comes to the conversation on sound. To summarize, the GP178 emphasizes the fundamental pitch, while the GX2 has more warmth and cabinet resonance. Onto the action.
Grand Piano Action: Feel and Response
Much of the sales rhetoric you’ll encounter if you’re considering both of these pianos is related to the action. You’ll find the same thing if you’re looking at a Yamaha piano as well wherein Kawai gets trashed for using ‘cheap plastic actions.’
The fact is, Kawai has been using synthetic materials in their actions for decades now, and the response has been acclaim from players, and praise from technicians for how well they hold up over time.
Today, Kawai is using the same general action (with different levels of refinement) across their less expensive GL series grands, the professional quality GX series, to the handmade Shigeru Kawai lineup including the world-class SK-EX concert grand piano.
That said, despite the fact that any industry debate on the subject is long over, you’re still going to run into salespeople shooting darts at Kawai for their use of synthetics. At the same time, Kawai goes the other way and concedes that sure, they build Boston pianos, but they use an inferior action in the Boston pianos, reserving their premium Millennium III Action with ABS-Carbon Fiber for their Kawai pianos.
Ultimately, both the GX2 and GP178 are receiving very solid actions, though they do play and feel different.
Here’s some factual, objective information about both of these actions; both are assembled and built fully by Kawai. There's some ambiguous language that Steinway likes to use that calls this into question, anyone whose been to the Kawai factory can confirm that Kawai’s craftsmen build and assemble the Boston actions from the ground up, based on a design from Steinway.
Despite their different designs, what’s interesting when you peek under the hood is that both actions actually share quite a bit in common. For instance, the action rails and keyframe are very similar if not the same between the GX2 and GP178.
Both action rails are mounted on hard-rock maple dowels which are anchored into a piece of solid supportive steel underneath. This is a feature that speaks to the solid craftsmanship both acoustic pianos are receiving. Both actions also utilize Mahogany hammers.
Kawai GX2 Hammers
Now let’s look at some differences. One of the key differentiators aside from the action material itself, as the GP178 is using wood for the action parts versus ABS-Carbon Fiber on the Kawai GX2, is the key stick length. The GP178 has a standard key length for a 6-foot piano, whereas the GX2 has an extended length key that resembles the length typically found in a 7-foot piano.
The idea behind a longer key stick is to allow the player a greater level of control - a longer lever equals more leverage. This is the main reason that the keybed feels deeper on the GX2 than the GP178 and why it’s easier to play at lower dynamic levels on the GX2.
That said, the Boston GP178 overall feels very fluid and very satisfying to play, it just doesn’t offer quite as much control, and also happens to feel lighter. If you like a lighter action, you’ll probably actually prefer the feel of the Boston GP178. If on the other hand, you’d like to be able to dig in more and exact more control, the GX2 is better going to facilitate that.
Both actions have synthetic key surfaces to simulate the feel of ivory on the white keys and ebony on the black keys (Kawai refers to theirs as the exclusive Neotex surface.)
Other Components/Features: Materials, Construction & Finishes
At this point, let’s look at some other parts and components of both pianos and see where they are similar and where they differ.
Both pianos feature tapered solid spruce soundboards with a very high grain count, meaning we’re talking about slow-growth spruce here - the older the spruce, the better it transmits energy.
Neither Steinway nor Kawai reveals in their marketing literature whether the Boston soundboards are supplied by Steinway or simply the same soundboards as what Kawai is using in the GX series, but from what we can tell they do appear the be the same.
The beam structure underneath both pianos is quite similar, and the joinery from the beams to the inner rim appears to be the same. The GX2’s rim is slightly thicker. Both pianos have multi-laminated pin blocks, as well as brass agraffes.
You’ll find soft fall fallboards on both pianos, as well brass lid props, and hard finish music desks.
Some areas where they differ have to do with a few innovations that Kawai has incorporated, including a steel-reinforced keyslip, V-Pro plate, and what they refer to as their Stretcher Over-lap Integrated Design with an extra thick stretcher bar. All of these features are to support the GX2’s tuning stability, though the GP178 has equally good tuning stability as far as we can tell.
Both pianos are available in a variety of finishes, you’ll find them most commonly in polished ebony.
A potentially important difference comes up regarding the warranty; both pianos come with 10-year parts and labour warranty, Boston’s warranty is applicable to the original purchaser owner, whereas the Kawai warranty is transferable.
If resale value is important to you, having a transferable warranty is a big deal.
Final Thoughts
What kind of showroom do you have to visit to demo these pianos?
In North America, Boston is exclusively retailed through Steinway’s dealer network, whereas the GX series is sold through Kawai’s dealer network. Most major cities are going to have both a Steinway and Kawai dealer, however finding a Kawai GX2 and a Boston GP178 side by side in the same showroom may be quite difficult.
In Japan, however, Kawai's and Boston's are retailed side by side, which is certainly much nicer for the consumer. In North America, you will have to do some driving around if you are making comparisons.
And ultimately, despite being made on the same production line by the same people, these two pianos do offer different musical experiences that will definitely speak to different people. Be sure to check out the video for some playing examples to hear for yourself!

TRIVIA
FUN FACT #1. Luxium feeds unlike any other human being – he must feed off of the pain of others whether emotional or physical. The more pain the individual is feeling, the more potent the meal and the longer lasting it is. Physical pain is more sustainable than emotional. It also depends on the individual how much they ‘give’ him; per se one person might feel more pain from getting cut by a knife whilst another person who has gone through war or simply has a higher pain tolerance may not even bat an eyelash. Those who feel the pain more, provide more. FUN FACT #2. When he doesn’t feed for a long period of time, he will experience the pain of his previous victim. One time, when he was very young, the executioner burned the eyes of a prisoner with an aflame pitchfork for Luxium to feed from. When Luxium refused his next ‘meal’ for an extended period of time, he experienced a gradual rise of excruciating pain that mimicked the last victim he fed from so much so that eventually his left eye lost some pigmentation and he is now legally blind in said eye. FUN FACT #3. Although legally blind in the left eye, he occasionally can see through it again when he feeds a great amount and the fogginess dissipates temporarily (sometimes a week at a time). This actually does NOT aid him as he has grown used to seeing through only one eye. FUN FACT #4. Nobody knows what he is but to this day, he claims to be human. FUN FACT #5. It is known that whatever he is, is hereditary and can be passed down. His mother was also like him – but there is no known cure. This is one reason that he refuses to have children but won’t openly say it, and often contemplates performing a vasectomy against the king and queen’s wishes. However, he knows that word would eventually get out and he would be eradicated. FUN FACT #6. He is a bastard child, but since he is from the king, he is still the rightful heir to the throne. The king had an affair with a maiden whence the queen failed to provide him a prince, they had many daughters – in which the queen continued to kill after birth out of madness for a son, yet presented to the public that they were all stillborn. FUN FACT #7. His true mother was beheaded when thought to be ill, plagued, or diseased when she was no older than 28 – Luxium was the age of 6. He was a front row and only witness to the scene aside from the executioner, king and queen. A warning that if he didn’t learn to control ‘it’ (the ‘illness’) then he would wind up like her. FUN FACT #8. RICH ASS MOTHERFUCKER. He is not only the Prince of Ve Solis Resaelia but he is also the CEO of  Luxury and █████████████. He owns his own palace of luxury in the USA – a strip / dance / bar & theatre all mixed into a hotel & casino. This hotel houses nearly 3,000 people a night with about 300 suites include. Includes a pool both on the lower level that is partially outdoors and a more exclusive pool for members only on the rooftop with a hot tub and bar stand that members can swim up to. It is an almost 100,000 square foot building that offers nearly 3,000 seats for bingo, nearly 1,000 parking spaces, and more. The cost of it nearing 500 million. FUN FACT #9. He rarely spends his time at Luxury, as he continues to work directly with the military and overlooks / manages a base on an uncharted island. This base and its existence remains CONFIDENTIAL to the public, its reason for existing only known to those who have access – they have upgraded to voice and facial recognition since their last invasion approximately a year ago. Unwelcome guests will be killed on sight by the automated machines. FUN FACT #10. He NEVER misses his shot. He earned a nickname in the military as 'Sniper' once upon a time.

And what a day this turned out to be for Auburn!
Nearly every team that makes a deep run in the NCAA Tournament has one game in which one or two plays would have ended their run much earlier than it did. The narrow escape was the best thing that happened to Auburn. You could see some disappointment in the players knowing they didn’t play their best at the end of the New Mexico State game. They were hungry for so much more. That said, the Tigers were exhausted. They played 4 games in 4 days, flew home for about 36 hours, and then flew to Salt Lake City for an early tip-off on Thursday. The 5 tough games in 8 days had taken its toll.
The Kansas tip wasn’t until 8PM Salt Lake City time so after the early game Thursday, Auburn got even more of a break before taking on Kansas. And while the anticipation waiting for this game was long and agonizing, I had a really good feeling about this game. This was not a vintage Kansas team of years past and if Auburn could establish the tempo and knock down their 3s, I really liked our chances.
Auburn certainly seemed prepared and ready for Kansas leading into the game.

I’ve probably watched this second clip about 1,000 times and referenced Malik’s “Bout That Time” almost as many times.
Auburn was loose, confident, and had gotten that swagger back that had carried them to 9 straight wins since the end of February.
Auburn also had something to prove after the blowout loss to Clemson in the 2018 NCAA Tournament as well. They didn’t want history to repeat itself. And then there was Chuck being Chuck right before the game tipped off.
Chuck is ready for Auburn to play! #MarchMadness pic.twitter.com/j7zUSLFmnh
— NCAA March Madness (@marchmadness) March 24, 2019
Chuck wanted Kansas. We all wanted Kansas and well, we got Kansas. What happened though was something none of us saw coming. After several near heart attacks and skyrocketing blood pressures on Thursday, there was none of that on this night.
Anfernee McLemore got Auburn on the board... but this time with a dunk after Kansas got the first basket, their only lead of the night. Malik Dunbar would score on the next possession which was followed by a Chuma Okeke steal and 3 from Jared Harper. And with that... Auburn was off to the races in Salt Lake City.
Bryce Brown would hit consecutive 3s 4 minutes in and the Tigers were off to a 15-5 start.
Then after the media timeout, the country got introduced to what we already knew: Jared Harper had some incredible hops for a 5’11” Point Guard. After a block from Okeke, Jared did the rest.

— Donnie B. from Tennessee (@CoachDonnieB) March 24, 2019
Every time Kansas scored, Auburn had an answer, case in point as Brown’s 3rd 3 of the evening gave Auburn a 20-7 lead.
My favorite play from Saturday's game vs Kansas. Got a bad switch that allowed an easy lay-up, but did that slow @AuburnMBB down? Nope. Bryce Brown three in transition off a MAKE four seconds later. pic.twitter.com/9MVSAGdsTR
— Matthew Smith (@MdotSmitty_) March 27, 2019
Bryce Brown’s 4th 3-pointer in the first 7 minutes of the 1st half would force a 2nd Kansas timeout as the Tigers led 23-9. What was going on?
Brown scored from 2 on Auburn’s next possession and after a Kansas basket, Jared Harper knocked down his 2nd 3 of the evening as the Tigers were en fuego from long range early in this game.
After back to back layups from J’Von McCormick and Harper, Kansas called their THIRD timeout of the half. With 9 minutes left in the first half, the Jayhawks were down to 1 timeout for the rest of the game as Auburn led 34-15.
Chuma would join the 3-point brigade with 7:20 left in the half and Bryce Brown would knock down his 5th 3 of the half to give Auburn a 20 point lead, 40-20, with 6:41 to go in the 1st half.
We kept waiting for Kansas to make a late run in the 1st half but Auburn continued to increase their lead. Jared Harper ended a phenomenal half with a ridiculous shot as Auburn went to the locker room up 51-25. If the SEC Championship was one of the best defensive halves we saw all year, this may have been the best offensive first halves we saw all year.
In the first half of this game it was:
Bryce Brown (17) & Jared Harper (14): 31 Kansas: 25
Auburn 3-pointers made: 9 Kansas Field Goals made: 8
And the 2nd half started with a bang for Auburn as well:
Auburn is taking it to Kansas (via @marchmadness) pic.twitter.com/lOmi1No9Ik
— Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) March 24, 2019
In fact, it started great for both teams combined to make their first 12 shots of the half. And despite Kansas coming out hot to start the half, they gained basically no ground during the first 4 minutes of the 2nd half as Auburn’s lead was 66-41 going into the Under 16 timeout.
Kansas cut it to 18 with 14 minutes to go but Bryce Brown’s SEVENTH 3 of the game put Auburn ahead 70-49. A steal from Samir Doughty and dunk from Austin Wiley would thwart the Kansas run as they led by 23 once again.
Auburn’s lead would grow to 27 as the Tigers never gave Kansas any hope that they could come back and win this game. Auburn would hit 80 with 8 minutes left in the game and looked poised to score 90-100 but wouldn’t make another shot until a layup from Harper in the final minute. It didn’t matter as Auburn had built an insurmountable lead from the jump and buried Kansas.
It was an incredible night for Auburn fans everywhere as the Tigers advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2003 with a dominant performance.
Auburn finished 13-30 from 3 on the night after going 9-17 in the first half. Here is all of Auburn’s 3-pointers from this game:

Bry3333333ce Brown was responsible for 7 of those 3-pointers as he led the Tigers with 25 points, shooting 9-13 from the field, and 7-11 from 3-point range. He moved into 2nd all-time in SEC history in 3-pointers made.
Jared Harper had 18 points and 6 assists as the backcourt duo of Harper & Brown went for 43 against Kansas.
Chuma Okeke had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Anfernee McLemore had 11 points and 5 rebounds.
Malik Dunbar, J’Von McCormick and Austin Wiley each added 6 points.

2. Tallest VS Shortest
Tallestare Ayrs (6 foot 3) and Malicineve (6 foot 1) – I’m not totally set on how tallAmitia is but she’d be somewhere close to Malicineve as well. Amurri’s probablysomething like 5’11 but I’d have to review some of my older fic/notes to makesure I’m not contradicting myself!.
Shortestis Mina, who is a petite 5’4 and absolutely happy to be small enough to hidefrom the Sith roaming Imperial Intelligence.
4. Coldest VS Most emotional
Vharmiris the coldest emotionally by far – almost to the point of sociopathy. He couldnever really deal with the loss of so many people close to him and so hebasically shut off and challenged his rage in…unpleasant ways. Amurri issomewhat similar, though she’s been able to develop meaningful relationshipswith her crew (especially Mako and Torian) as well as connections with severalof my other characters.
Malicineveand Veresia are my most emotional characters which is probably appropriatesince they’re both Sith. Malicineve’s emotional responses tend to be moreoff-the-cuff and destructive since her childhood/upbringing was so twisted, while Veresia’s are more carefully managed and doled out (i.e. she’ll nurse agrudge to ensure she can get her target when it makes sense). Ayrs is alsopretty emotional, though generally in a positive big brother/papa bear to hissquad type way (and he’s positively weak at the knees around Elara).
6. Most serious VS Silliest
Kindof similar to my last response for most serious – both Vharmir and Amurri arevery dedicated to their “work” and don’t allow themselves many - if any –distractions (particularly Vharmir). Olympia is also pretty serious – she’lllet her guard down around Amitia or Felix, but she’s more concerned with doingthings the Jedi Way, so other people sometimes consider her a square.
Teelais – by far – my silliest/goofiest character, as befits the finest bad smugglerthat the galaxy has ever seen. She’s obviously serious enough to get her jobsdone and cargos shipped, but she also makes sure to do it with style and whilehaving fun. And if certain people don’t appreciate it, then they’re too boringfor her to care about. Ayrs can be goofy too, especially around Jorgan and Elaraand will sometimes use humor to defuse tense situations even on the job, but he’snowhere near Teela’s level.
10. Biggest eater VS Lightest eater
Biggesteater is Ayrs. He’s a good ol’country boy who loves his nerf steaks, nerfburgers and all others things involving meat and potatoes and basicallyanything edible. Elara is, of course, appalled and tries to rein him in. Amurriand Malicineve are also big eaters but pale by comparison.
Minais my lightest eater – the lifestyle of an agent doesn’t really lend itself toheavy eating, and given her stress levels in general she’s not hungry veryoften.

We all have heard/seen the famous dialogue from Bollywood film SHOLAY,”JO DAR GAYA WO MAAR GAYA” but if we double click on DAR or FEAR, WE will find, one Who fears will not die rather will survive but can also be victorious, sounds strange but most of the times it is the truth.
We can validate the same by the present pandemic, if we fear CORONA and stay inside, we may be victorious against it.
To have fear is really good, rather important. If we deep dive into FEAR, it is just like salt in our meal. Salt is very important ingredient, but it should me in balance amount, neither too much nor too low, so fear is like a catalyst ,which one need to get the end product, called success, achievement, Goal.
What Fear Is?
Fear is “a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined “. In other words, fear is state whereby you feel frightened or afraid, regardless of whether you should be afraid or not.
The science or the physiological changes that takes place in our body due to the fear.
When we experience fear, our adrenal glands (located directly above our kidneys) release adrenaline into the blood stream which causes a series of biological reactions in our body.
It increases blood and oxygen flow to our muscles so we can run fast
It restricts blood flow to other areas such as our stomach.
It dilates our pupils so we can better see things around us.
How Fear Helps To Get Success:
1.   Heightened Awareness:
At the basic level fear guides our fight or flight responses and helps to keep us safe and alive. Fear heightens your senses and awareness; it keeps us alert and helps in better preparation. Eg. Our Security personnel , who are always aware for the safety of the county from any attack.
2.   Motivates You to Build Skills:
We can understand this by an example, It  was 3rd ODI of IND VS AUS ODI series in 2007 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.. The bowler, Braad Hogg  was happy, of course, he had clean bowled Master Blaster .He had taken the most precious wicket after all. In fact, such high was the value of that wicket, Hogg felt that the wicket was the guarding anchor to his career. And so, it made complete sense to approach Sachin for an autograph now. Sachin , was hard at practice in the nets as Hogg walked towards him, carrying a photograph of the Sachin’s dismissal, with the bails scattered about on the ground. Sachin being Sachin, signed the photograph with a message for Hogg, and underneath the impressive sign were the words, This will never happen again, Hoggy.  And guess what? Despite having gotten many chances, never succeeded in taking Sachin’s wicket from then on. That is Sachin Tendulkar for you, people.
FEAR of getting out again to Hogg , Sachin build his skills in such a way that by the strides of Hogg , Sachin used to understand  which delivery, Hogg is going to ball.
3.   Opportunities and Resource Identification:
Lets understand this with another example,
How the legendary basketball player, Michaael Jordan turned it around for himself with sheer grit and determination. Jordan was scrapped from the High School Team and at 5’11″ was deemed too short to play at that level and was told to lack skills. But he never gave up. Living on the principle of “I can accept failure but I cannot accept not trying,” Jordan scripted one of the best failure to success stories as he went on to become the best player in the history of the sport.
Once in his interview he told, the FEAR of not having his name in the locker room , motivates him to do more and more practice and we all know , what Michael Jordan has done.
4.   Fear of failing in exam help us to study hard:
We all know this, we had gone through it, in our school and college days, here also FEAR plays a very important role, fear of failing is always a motivation to study.
5.   Fear for security of our family helps us work more sincerely and honestly:
We all in our job or whatever we are doing for living , always want to do our job sincerely and honestly, fear of security of our family is always there. If we not do our job sincerely than we may get fired, our EMIs will be at stake, our family will get affected , so that FEAR always help one to do his job more sincerely and honestly so that the cycle should go on.
6.   Fear of defeat makes us practice more.
We all know the famous story of Ferrari and Lamborghini. Its because of    the passion and the fear of defeat Lamborghini took head on with Ferrari , and the rest is history.
7.   Fear of no growth we switch jobs.
We all understand this very much, fear of stagnancy inside a individual forces him/her to switch jobs, because if there is no new learning , no growth and no future then one will loose his/her competitive edge and that fear of no growth forces to switch jobs.
The amateur believes he must first overcome his fear; then he can do his work. The professional knows that fear can never be overcome. He knows there is no such thing as a fearless warrior or a dread-free artist- Steven Pressfield
So fear is a vital emotion of life. Fear  can be our best motivation or a disaster but the the MANTRA is BALANCING the fear and how one can use it as a success factor.
Cheers.
